Willow Grove, PA – Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC’s Matt Asplundh joined more than 2,000 other business leaders who have committed to the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™. The move makes Asplundh part of a growing coalition pledged to advance diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace.
By signing this pledge, Matt will take action to make Asplundh a workplace where diverse perspectives and experiences are welcomed and respected, and where commitments to improve the company’s DEI are put into practice. The collective of signatories have already shared more than 1,400 best-known actions, exchanged tangible learning opportunities and participated in collaborative conversations via the initiative’s unified hub, CEOAction.com.

In that spirit, we recognize that DEI is a better way, one that will make us a stronger company that is better positioned than ever to meet the needs of our customers and employees. I am proud to commit to building a more diverse and inclusive environment at Asplundh, not only because it is the right thing to do, but because diversity fosters creativity and innovation,” Matt said.
The CEO Action pledge contains four key steps each CEO will take to increase diversity and inclusion in their workplaces. Those steps include:
- Encouraging open discussion of DEI issues
- Implementing unconscious bias education
- Sharing strategies and shortcomings with other CEOs
- Working with their boards of directors to create DEI strategies and implement accountability systems to track the progress of those strategies
Joining CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion is an opportunity for Asplundh to strengthen existing DEI programs for the benefit of its customers and employees and to work with other companies to cultivate more diverse, equitable and inclusive workplaces in the utility industry.
