Dean L. Seavers, Joseph P. Dwyer join Asplundh Board of Directors

Willow Grove, PA – Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC announced today the addition of Dean L. Seavers and Joseph P. Dwyer to its Board of Directors. Both men were appointed in August.

Dean L. Seavers is an executive and private equity advisor with experience in operations management of commercial security companies and electric and gas utilities. He is presently a director on the boards of Albemarle Corporation, Pacific Gas & Electric Company and AMETEK, Inc. Dean most recently served as president and executive director of National Grid from 2014 to 2020. He oversaw a large-scale transformation of the company, reemphasized its safety culture and performance and led its sustainability eff orts. Prior to National Grid, Dean served as founder, CEO and board director at Red Hawk Fire & Security, president of global services for United Technologies Fire and Security, and president and CEO of GE Security. He has an MBA from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State University.

Former CFO Jospeh P. Dwyer returns to the board after a brief absence following his retirement earlier this year. He joined Asplundh in 1986 as the manager of corporate accounting in the Home Office. He served Assistant Treasurer for the corporation and was named Secretary-Treasurer in 1992. Joseph was first elected to the board in 2004 and was later named CFO in 2010, a position he served until 2017. He was elected to senior vice president later that year. In 2016, Joseph was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award and named CFO of the Year by the Philadelphia Business Journal. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University.
