To ensure that our employees can learn and grow with a focus on safety, we rely on the expertise and specialized knowledge of Asplundh safety personnel to develop and lead many of the training programs.  We also recognize the value of external expertise and occasionally bring in third-party vendors to supplement instruction. This comprehensive approach ensures that our training programs align with the latest industry standards and procedures.

Customers

Asplundh has built a successful safety practice based on long-standing partnerships and open communication with our customers. We work with our customers every day to make sure our employees are aware of any hazards they may face on the job.

Employees

We believe that creating an environment where employees feel safe, valued, and empowered, and by focusing on open communication, training, and employee engagement, we help strengthen the positive safety culture within Asplundh. Our latest safety culture assessments confirm that our employees believe we are committed to their safety. According to the surveys, our employees recognize they have a role in keeping each other safe. They feel comfortable speaking up or stopping a job if they perceive risks or are unsure of the task at hand.

By emphasizing that job briefings are conversations and not lectures, we help employees understand that their opinions and concerns are respected, and it is acceptable to raise safety-related issues or ask questions.

Data Analysis

At Asplundh, we believe that constant improvement is a crucial aspect of maintaining a strong safety culture within our organization.  Our adaptable state-of-the-art database highlights our dedication to utilizing technology and data analytics to drive continuous improvement, and more easily understand and interpret the data we collect.

By centralizing this data, we have a comprehensive view of safety-related activities and can identify patterns and emerging trends. By leveraging analytic techniques, we can uncover hidden correlations and make better, data-driven decisions.

Analyzing Significant Injuries and Fatalities (SIFs) data enables us to ensure that preventive measures are in place to protect employees from the most severe risks and helps us to identify common factors or root causes and ensure safety measures are in place to mitigate or eliminate them.

Mental Health

We believe that creating a safe and supportive workplace where employees feel comfortable discussing mental health concerns is crucial for their well-being and our overall success as an organization. We embrace the concept that “It is OK not to be OK,” and acknowledge that our veterans may have specific needs.

We have implemented strategies for our both our leaders and workforce to educate and help raise awareness so all employees can feel comfortable addressing mental health issues. We want any employee with a mental health concern to feel supported and free to talk about it, so we can help them get the assistance they need as soon as possible.

By promoting education, awareness, and access to resources, we can empower our people to seek help, contribute to their overall well-being, and continue to maintain a culture of understanding and support throughout Asplundh.

As a full-service utility, infrastructure, and sustainability partner, we bring a wealth of experience, specialized equipment, innovative technology, and logistical resources to every job we undertake.
